Today I want to review a product for you that I just recently bought. After trying it out twice I might not be able to tell you a whole lot about it but I can at least share my thoughts and first impressions with you.
A while ago I noticed that my scalp was getting really dry giving me a bit of an uncomfortale feeling. I don’t know if the cause for it was the shampoo I used before or hair products I started using lately, I just knew that I had to do something about it. Always being a fan of Lush products I thought I could try one of there solid shampoo bars. The lady in the store was as always super helpful and found the perfect shampoo for my hair type. Only after using it once the dry skin on my scalp was gone and my hair was shiny and soft. The only negative point about this shampoo is the scent, it smells very very smoky and no matter in what room you’ll store it the whole air will be filled with this “bacon” smell. Don’t worry though it doesn’t leave your hair smelling like that at all it’s just very intense while you’re using it. Overall it’s a great product and it’s supposed to last up to 80 washes if you keep it in a dry place and if you drain it well.
Today I’m back with the Makeup Trends for Spring 2014. I picked out the ones I think are gorgeous and here they are. Most of them are pretty wearable on an everyday basis and if you’re interested there’s a list of drugstore products matching with the trends below. Hope you enjoy this post if you do please like or comment :).
Revlon Lip Butter – Berry Smoothie
Bright Orange Lipstick
Rimmel Lipstick – #12
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner – Black
Maybelline Color Tattoo – Tenacious Teal
This weeks Affordable Spring Outfit is called “Spring Feelings” and contains of items I found on Asos. They are currently available online. I really hope you guys enjoy this outfit. What I like about it is that it’s very versatile. It is more of an evening look compared to last weeks outfit but you can still wear it during the day. If you didn’t see the first outfit from last week go check that out :).
In todays blog post I’ll tell you about my favourite spring fashion trends/essentials. The pieces I picked out are available online and most of them are pretty affordable too so if you want to pimp your spring outfits have a look at what I’ve found online.
The Contrast Collar
My probably favourite trend are contrast collared shirts. I love the look of a buttoned up shirt. It looks stylish, elegant, put together, etc. You could wear them with a collarless coat, a jumper or a cropped non-moto jacket there are so many options.
Pastels have always been one of my favourite. I love the girly but still ladylike colours and think they are just perfect for spring. You can combine different pastel colours with each other or you can wear them on their own. You’ll just be on trend with those beautiful pieces which will hopefully never go out of trend.
The Bomber Jacket
I feel like this fashion item has been around for ages but it’s just such a cool piece that can make every outfit complete. You can go crazy and wear them in all sorts of colours, pattern or even with holographic features.
My Nail Care Routine might not be the most interesting one but I still thought I’d like to share it with you guys.
First I remove any nailpolish or residue I might have on my nails with nailpolish remover.
Filing my nails is up next and I use a “Revlon Emery Board” because it just works best for me and I’ve noticed that it doesn’t damage my nail as much as other files I’ve tried (I only use nail scissors if it’s really necessary and if I’m in a hurry).
Using my “Essence – Cuticle Remover Gel” I push back my cuticles (the gel softens the skin which makes it easier to push them back :D).
I then wash my hands with soap and dry them thoroughly. Using a tissue or cotton pad I go over my nails and cuticles again to make sure I got rid of all oils and the water.
Applying one thin coat of the “Essence – Studio Nails 24/7 nail base” evens out the ridgeds on my nails and makes the nailpolish last longer (usually my nails chip after 1-2 days with this on the nailpolish lasts 2-3 days longer).
After letting my base coat dry for 10 min I apply 1-2 coats of any nailpolish and let each coat dry for 10 minutes at least.
I don’t use a topcoat because I just didn’t find one I like yet so if you guys have any recommendations comment down below :). So the last step would be using my super rich “Lush – Dream Cream” which makes my hands really soft and nurishes my skin perfectly leaving me with beautifully manicured hands :D.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post if you did please leave a comment or like this post.
Lots of love xx

After showing you guys my Top 5 Nail Polish Picks for Spring 2014 I decided I also want show you my favorite lip products for this season.
Benefit Cha Cha Tint
I love using this product on my cheeks and lips during spring and summer. Because it is a lip/cheek stain it’ll stay on for a long time which is perfect for me because I don’t like to touch up my makeup during the day.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter- 035 Candy Apple
Can’t tell you enough how amazing the Revlon Lip Butters are but you probably already know. This colour is absolutely gorgeous for people with pale but also tanned skin. You can wear it sheer or build up the colour with a few more coats. Perfect for everyday :).
NYX Buttergloss – BLG06 Peach Cobbler
The scent of this gloss is just divine and eventhough I’m not a lipgloss person I do really like this one. The colour payoff of this lipgloss is amazing and I’ll defintely try out some other colours.
Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick – Red Sunrise
This bright lipstick is super easy to apply and feels like a lipbalm on the lips. The colour payoff is incredible and if you like bright rasperry tones you should check that one out.
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss – 107
This lipstick might seem a bit dark for spring but I like to wear it with hardly any eye make up and a white dress. I think that it just looks fabulous and would be just right for a party or a night out in town.
Every Saturday throughout the month March I’ll post an “Affordable Spring Outfit” that costs under 100-200 USD in total. Alltogether I’ll create 5 Looks using only one Website or Brand for each Outfit (the items shown are currently available online :)).
I’ll call this first outfit “Sunrise” and I only used H&M items. I like the trend to wear shirts under jumpers and think it’s a great way to layer clothing especially when it’s not super warm outside yet. The look is chic but also casual at the same time and gives the outfit an effortless but modern look. I really like this outfit – What do you guys think? – leave a comment below and tell me if you’d wear this or not.
