Yummy Brownie Recipe

Todays post is going to be a bit different. I wanted to upload my first “food” post and I’m obsessed with brownies so I decided to share this yummy recipe with you.

What you need:
200 g unsalted butter
200 g dark chocolate
1 cup of brown sugar
3 eggs (lightly beaten)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3/4 cup plain flour
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

First preheat your oven to 190°C/375°F and line your cake pan with non stick baking paper.

Then heat butter, chocolate and sugar in a saucepan (careful … on low heat) and stir constantly until the mixture is melted and smooth.

IMG_8207

Transfer the mixture into a heatproof bowl and let cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well. Sift flour and cocoa over the chocolate mixture. Stir to combine.

Pour the brownie mixture into the pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes. Set aside to cool.

And you’re done :). This is a really easy brownie recipe and it’s really quick too. On top of the brownies you can add some icing sugar or whatever you prefer. I hope you enjoyed this a bit different post and if you did please comment or like.

Affordable Spring Outfit #4

Another Affordable Spring Outfit this week and all the items are from the online store boohoo.com. I’d call this look “comfy-chic” because the maxi dress is just a really nice comfortable item but it still looks very elegant with the clutch and the shoes. I hope you like this outfit if you do please like this post or comment on it. 🙂

Skincare: Long Haul Flights

Continuing my travel posts here is my skincare routine for when I’m traveling.

skincare

First of all I need a hand cream because I feel like my hands are the first thing to get dry considering I’m carrying around bags and suitcases so I like to always have a hand cream with me. Not really skincare well I guess it is, deodorant. I think it’s really important for when you just feel a bit sweaty which is totally normal (a day at the airport or on a plane can be quite stressful). Other than that I obviously have my face serum and moisturizer which I apply before take off and landing. For my lips I’m using a beeswax balm which nurishes them beautifully. For the rest of my body I use a lotion that is also very moisturizing so if I get dry skin or itchy skin I just apply it to those spots. That’s it for my skincare routine. I don’t usually wear makeup when traveling so it’s not that much but I hope you guys still found it interesting.

Soap and Glory – Hand Food
Rexona Biorythm Deodorant

Travel Tips

I’m soon going to travel overseas so I thought I might share some travel tips with you. Those things might not work for you but they most definitely helped me in the past when traveling.

1. Bring a little Passport Holder where you can put your passport in and some other cards, cash, tickets, visas, etc. You can get them in all sorts of colours … my tip get a bright one so it’s super easy to find in your handbag when you need it.

2. Be organised. Write a list or download a packing list online. It’s good to have everything written down somewhere so as you put it in your suitcase or bag you can tick it off and you know it’s packed.

3. Pack your stuff at least 1-2 days before you depart. Don’t wait an hour before you have to leave it’s best to plan what you pack … it’s less stressful and you’ll most likely not forget anything at home.

4.Bring a reusable water bottle. You can tip out the water before going through security and fill it up again afterwards. Buying water at airports can be really expensive and unecessary.

5. And last but not least pack lightly. Don’t carry unecessary stuff with you that you don’t actually need.

I hope those tips were somewhat helpful :). I wish everyone who’s going abroad or on holidays soon good travels.

What’s in my bag?

Even though I don’t  carry a lot of stuff with me on a daily basis I wanted to show you my everyday handbag and what’s in it.

First of all my handbag is from Rebecca Minkoff and it’s a Mini M.A.C in the colour Emerald Green I think. I love love love this bag and for a person like me who doesn’t carry lots of stuff around and who most importantly doesn’t want to … it’s the perfect size handbag. The quality is really nice and even after having it for almost a year now it still looks pretty new.

Mini M.A.C.

Second of all I want to show you what’s in the actual bag but first you need to know that I do not carry makeup and this and that in my handbag for me I like to just have the essentials for me personally with me. I’m not able to leave the house without headphones so I always bring my Philips (SHQ 1200) headphones with me. Also in my bag who would’ve thought is my wallet, well it’s actually a little wristlet itself but I love to use it as my wallet and it’s from Fossil. My only beauty products are a Babylips in Berry Crush and a NYX Buttergloss in Peach Cobbler (Check out my Top 5 Lipstick Picks for Spring). Last but not least I always have my KikkiK Diary with me which I mentioned in my February Favorites .

That’s all I carry around with me I hope you liked this post and I’ll be back with a new blog post on Wednesday the 19th of March.

Affordable Spring Outfit #3

I call this weeks Affordable Spring Outfit “Minimalistic” because I think it’s a very basic but still stylish outfit. The total cost of those fashion pieces is under 100 AUD and I think it’d be ideal for days where it’s not that warm yet and where you want to wear something comfy but still need to look a bit elegant.

TAG: Would You Rather

Today something a bit different. I wanted to do a Tag which is usually a YouTube thing to do but I love them and I’m sure they are not just fun to watch but also to read ;).

QUESTIONS:
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I’d rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows  because mascara and lipsticks are just much more important to me.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I’d rather never be able to cut them again because I could always braid it or make it in a bun even if it’s long but chopping it all NO WAY.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Coral cheek because it just suits my skintone better :).

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Definitely clothes because I wouldn’t know what makeup to buy for 1000$ dollars and having too many makeup items makes you not even use them.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Probably lipstick as an eyeliner a pop of colour could maybe even look good in spring/summer but a black or brown lip probably not.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora because I like to have different brands and not just one.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One eyeshadow color. I could probably live with a natural brown eyeshadow because I don’t really use anything else on my eyelids anyways.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes in winter because I could always wear a summer dress with tights and a scarf but sweating in the sun with a jumper on no thanks.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark nails, I love dark red or black nail polish on me it just compliments my skin tone and goes with everything.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I would rather give up my favourite eye product because I need lip balm and I just wouldn’t know what to do without it.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Ponytail because I love how the hair swings from one side to the other when walking (… weiiiiird, sorry)

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I don’t use lipgloss as much so I’d rather never be able to use lipgloss anymore.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
OMG this is such a hard question… but I would probably go for the sharpie and use a brown one so it doesn’t look super crazy.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I’d rather live without makeup because I’m just obsessed with nail polish :).

If you’ve come that far congratulations and I hope that even though this post is a bit different you still like it.

Lush Soak and Float Solid Shampoo Bar Review

Today I want to review a product for you that I just recently bought. After trying it out twice I might not be able to tell you a whole lot about it but I can at least share my  thoughts and first impressions with you.

lushshampoobar

A while ago I noticed that my scalp was getting really dry giving me a bit of an uncomfortale feeling. I don’t know if the cause for it was the shampoo I used before or hair products I started using lately, I just knew that I had to do something about it. Always being a fan of Lush products I thought I could try one of there solid shampoo bars. The lady in the store was as always super helpful and found the perfect shampoo for my hair type. Only after using it once the dry skin on my scalp was gone and my hair was shiny and soft. The only negative point about this shampoo is the scent, it smells very very smoky and no matter in what room you’ll store it the whole air will be filled with this “bacon” smell. Don’t worry though it doesn’t leave your hair smelling like that at all it’s just very intense while you’re using it. Overall it’s a great product and it’s supposed to last up to 80 washes if you keep it in a dry place and if you drain it well.
